In detail

The PowerChill system is a pre-engineered, factory-tested packaged solution providing uninterrupted cooling, heating and power. Skid mounted or containerised, it integrates the power source (Capstone C30 or C65 microturbine), and FireChill ALT500 chillers into a package that can easily be installed on-site.

FireChill’s unique dual-firing capability means cooling and heating can be delivered even if the prime mover is shut down. .

Making connections

The system piping connects directly into existing cooling, refrigeration or heating systems and the generated power simply connects to the site’s main distribution panel giving single-point utility electrical, water and gas connections. The containerised system makes installation easier and protects against external elements, giving greater flexibility. Direct connection to the turbine or engine exhaust simplifies the system design and eliminates the need for intermediate heat exchangers and other hardware that increases installation costs and degrades performance.

Fully integrated

FireChill removes the risk and expense associated with onsite integration by assembling, commissioning and testing the PowerChill unit in its manufacturing facility. All units leave the factory with a test certificate as evidence they have run and performed to specification. The requirement for local commissioning and testing should be minimal.
